Mental health exists on a continuum. It is never static. We will all have periods of overwhelm or crisis and at other times can really thrive. Our emotional ‘weather report’ can change repeatedly in the same day.

Sometimes we can get ‘stuck’  in our way of being and there will be times when each and everyone of us may have been ‘not ok’.

This can present as overwhelming anxiety or depressed mood. It can show up as irritability or anger or exhaustion/insomnia or even pain (this really isn’t ‘all in your mind’). Feeling like a square peg in a round hole or feeling lonely is more common than you think. Neurodiversity is becoming more recognised but may have gone un noticed for years – reflecting the society of old. It is not unusual for the emotional climate to be a reflection of our brains hardwiring.  Could this be ADHD or autism?

If any of the above resonates with you I would like to tell you:

You are not weak

You are not failing

You are not broken

You are not worthless

There is no shame in asking for help

The world is a better place for you being in it
