Finding Purpose /Mental ‘Wealth’

There are a number of main pillars of support that make up the fundamental principles of lifestyle medicine. This is not the pill for an ill model. Rather it starts with having a good  solid foundation  of self care and compassion and then utilising a number of adjuncts of healthful behaviours that support the body in its healing journey.

This also involves  forging  the following good relationships

Doctor, Patient, Medicines, Support

The most important relationship you will ever have is the one you have with yourself.  Talk to yourself the way you would talk to a good friend.  If you don’t like your Doctor find a new one, if the pills don’t work  explore a different treatment algorithm. If you feel there is something wrong there probably is,  seek help. Conventional medicine is especially good at ‘fixing the body when it breaks down’ but what if we moved away from  the thought:  “I am sick now it is not my problem it is the problem of my doctor to sort”  to  thinking  “ I have an amazing body and mind  that knows exactly what to do to take care of itself when I support it to do so”

If this is something you are interested in learning about to help keep you and your family healthy and well then I would love to work with you.
