I first started getting migraines at the tender age of 13.  They have been an intermittent companion for the last 38 years, reminding me when I need to attend to myself,   so it may come as no surprise that  I had somewhat of a vested interest in learning everything I could about migraines and headaches in general.

For those patients suffering chronic disabling headaches, please know there is a lot we can do together to help support you.

The first step is categorising what type of headache phenomenon you are experiencing.  Not all headaches are the same and it is correctly identifying the root cause of your headache that highlights the appropriate prescriptive measures to take in reducing the burden of your symptoms.  I follow the BASH guidelines (British Association for the Study of Headache) for headache evaluation and diagnostics in addition to the NICE guidelines for treatment protocols.

I  have been a member of the Migraine World Summit since 2016  and am familiar with all aspects of headache management, which includes both conventional and recognised alternative/complimentary headache treatment strategies, so between us, it is highly likely we will find a treatment protocol that is just right for you and the type of headache you are experiencing.
